Colleague of Kapil Sharma attempts suicide on Facebook Live due to financial issues

• Junior Nana Patekar also known as Tirthanand Rao a young actor and comedian attempted suicide on social media 
• He accused the woman of emotionally blackmailing and extorting money from him leading to a debt of Rs 3-4 lakh
• This was not his first suicide attempt as he had previously tried to take his own life during the COVID-19 pandemic

Tirthanand Rao better known as Junior Nana Patekar is a young actor and comedian who attempted suicide on social media. During a live chat on social media, Tirthanand stated that a woman is responsible for his situation and that if anything bad comes to him, he should get justice. The women have two daughters and he also lived with her.

Extortion
He stated that he was emotionally blackmailed and the woman extorted money from him. He said he has a debt of Rs 3-4 lakh due to this woman.He had known her since October and women were also complaining about him for no reason in Bhayandar. She also called him and wanted to meet him regularly, he revealed during a live Facebook interaction.

Suicide attempts on FB live
In a retelling of the incident, he is seen taking a bottle of insect repellent and pouring the liquid into a glass before drinking it. He attempts suicide, declaring that if something bad happens to him, the woman should be held responsible for what happens to him and his family.

According to reports in the English-language press, several of his companions called a nearby police station, which took him to hospital. He was discovered unconscious.

It wasn't the first attempt
This is not his first suicide attempt. He attempted suicide last year due to the ongoing COVID-19 epidemic, but was saved by his neighbors.

On 27 December 2021, Rao went live on Facebook and called his assistant to explain why he was making such a significant change in his life. Also, he confessed that the previous two years have been extremely difficult for him as his financial situation is in shambles and he has no money.
